Thomas Dresch Woodworks origins began in 2016 while Thomas was still junior in high school. I had only had my drivers license for a little over year and had started working for a trim carpentry business during the prior summer. I was responsible for a wide variety trim work and finish carpentry work in numerous housing subdivisions and custom homes in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. I was able to learn a get deal of basic carpentry work and had the opportunity to think on my own and solve problems. During this time I was develop basic skills and soon wanted to expanded my skill set. After helping build a horse stable, I was eager to try something big on my own and build my first deck in late 2015. Soon after that I started building furniture. I had an on and off relationship with woodworking throughout the rest of my high school years and early college years. But it is something I always came back to it as I love the creative challenge of building and designing wooden pieces. As business kept on coming and I was building more and more I started to take it more seriously, in a business aspect. It went from a hobby in 2016 to a sole proprietor in 2019 and becoming an official entity in 2021. Now after considering what I want to do with my life and the love I have for woodworking I decided to see where this will take me. Lord willing I will be doing this the rest of my life as my full time job.
